How to Install Wooden Flooring

This film outlines which method you should choose to fit your wooden floor depending on whether you have solid or engineered flooring and also taking into consideration what type of subfloor you have. Chauncey’s are one of the leading trade suppliers of solid and engineered oak flooring in the UK. We manufacture and supply a wide range of new and reclaimed wood flooring to trade customers. Is bamboo flooring in a 2nd floor condo bathroom up to code in CT?

I want to install supreme bamboo engineered planks in the bathroom, using Equalizer adhesive, but want to make sure the inspector won’t make me rip it out. I live in Norwalk CT.

Please do not tell me this is not a good idea, as I know that. It can be done, and the manufacturer even advertises this flooring as suitable for kitchens/baths. By the way, on a side note, is that the best adhesive to use in this scenario? I was considering putting wax between the planks for water tightness, and just reapplying it every couple of months or so.

    Thank you!!!
    Thank you!

The subflooring is old plywood which had tiles glued to it before. The planks are already pre-finished, I just wanted to prevent water from getting in between (is some kind of glue a better alternative?). Since wood expands though, I’m not sure what will stay put and maintain a seal.

      Mohawk flooring….didn't activate glue?

My hubbie and i just put in this Mohawk tongue and groove flooring in our home by ourselves. Before we left the flooring store, the employees showed us how to install and told us what tools we would need to purchase to install ourselves. We’ve installed one complete room and realized that the employees told us nothing about having to activate the glue, nor did they try to sell us the water tool designed to do this. What will happen if the planks are ‘locked’ together, but not glued??

Tips for installing wood laminate flooring in kitchen, living room, and hallway?

I am a do it your-selfer and laid different floors before. I have only put down one laminate floor before and it was squares that got glued, this is no glue and it is planks. I am just looking to avoid problems that others have run into. Thanks.

Wood Flooring glue not sticking. Any solutions?

We installed engineered wood planking on a hot dry day. The glue apparently crusted over in one area and is not bonding the flooring to the concrete slab subfloor. You can feel a slight "give" when you walk over this area and then you feel a tackiness as the floor boards lift when you step off of them.

I cannot purchase additional boards, as these were bought on closeout. Any ideas?
the area in question seems to be about 18" x 18"
The vendor told me to glue directly to the slab.

This is Southern California – not that we have "hillbillies" here, but perhaps it’s an OK thing to do in a dry climate.

At any rate, I will need to ask the vendor about this later today.

In a room with a "round-shaped" corner how do you install laminate floors?

One of my rooms has a round-shape instead of a corner. I apologize for the "round" corner description..I don’t know how else to say it:)

Home Depot’s installers say they can’t install laminate flooring in the room because they can’t cut the laminate planks to fit the round shaped part of the room!!!!! I am soooo mad! How the heck can’t u cut some planks??? They say they won’t lock properly but isn’t there a WAY to cut so that you can still lock them somehow???? Or can’t they glue whatever parts are needed in that small round-shape area?????

Please help! I am having nightmares! This is my dream to put laminate in this room and they just seem incompetent!

            HELP!

Can u suggest some companies in Michigan taht could actually help with this project, unlike Home depot?

-is there a certain laminate that CAN be cut?

-should I glue small pieces where they can’t lock them in?

-should I carpet the part they can’t do (in front of the round shape)?

            I have CEMENT underneath.

            Britney Spears Pregnant again?

In her continuing efforts to be made fun of, Britney Spears is reportedly pregnant with her second child.

Shoppers in Malibu were stunned when the former pop princess grabbed her belly and announced to the entire centre "That’s right, number two!". The star was apparently distressed that so many people were looking at her in the high-end furniture store Shabby Chic that she felt the need to retaliate. One of Britney’s closest friends told In Touch magazine: "Britney is definitely pregnant again. She’s acting the same way she did when she was pregnant with her first child."
You know that kid in your fourth grade class that used to eat glue and lick the floor? That’s this kid. It’s some sort of cruel joke that the mentally handicapped are the ones that have the most babies. Albert Einstein didn’t have a single child, and yet Britney Spears and Kevin Federline aren’t going to be happy until they’ve got 12-13 little buggers running around eating dirt, occasionally pausing to turn on
            What do u think
