Does it matter what radio you have installed for a keyless remote? 99' Firebird?

I bought my 99′ Firebird used, never came with a remote.

It had a little flood damage, but was repaired about 3 or 4 years back.
I ordered a keyless remote hoping it would not have any problems, and I followed instructions how to to program it. (Turn the ing. key to off, remove radio fuse, cycle 3 times ending on the on position, hold lock & unlock for approx. 15 sec, etc etc.)

Anyways, it doesn’t work. My car manual says the hatch should open after cycling the engine 3 times, within 5 seconds & it doesn’t.

I had a new radio installed from fry’s a couple of years back. Would the radio affect the keyless remote, or did I buy a broken remote; or maybe am I just not programming it right?

I’m walking on a thin plank, and I hear cracking!
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it, also, 10 points. :D

How do you know when your hedgehog has bonded a good amount & it trusts you?

I’ve had my african pygmy hedgehog since July 25, 2011 & she is still pretty young, she’s quilling & we find them all over the house because I spend a lot of time with her in the living room, kitchen, bathroom (when she’s taking a bath or when I am I let her run around in there) & my room, she comes to my scent & when I wake her up I scare her but she calms down as soon as she spells me, she falls asleep in my hands & follows me around when she’s on the floor. But some times she makes a clicking noise, I heard it when they’re distressed but she seems totally fine & dandy. Also she wont run in her excersize ball, when I put her in there she just pees & poops cause she’s scared, & she wont use her excersize wheel either, how can i get her to excersize? She likes to climb on my legs & arms but I really don’t think that’s enough. How can I safely mousterise her skin to? Also she has blue eyes but they buldge out a little, its been like that as soon as I first saw her, normal? And lastly she is getting taking to the vet very soon just to check up on her. Please answer soon.(:

Installing 3/4" Engineered Hardwood over Particle board?

      Hello,
I want to replace my carpet floors with hardwood. Under the carpet is particle board over plywood. I have seen many references saying that you should NOT nail or staple hardwood flooring onto particle board. As an alternative to replacing the particle board with plywood, I have chosen to look at a floating hardwood floor solution. I wanted to install something that had the same look, thickness, and feel as ¾” hardwood. While searching for such options, I found the Bruce Westchester line of ¾” Engineered hardwood floors which supported “glue or staple or floating” installation methods.

To my surprise, the possible installer (from the store, a major regional retailer, I would buy the wood) recommends to staple it onto the particle board/plywood and NOT float it. This is because this line of engineered flooring is tongue and groove requiring glue to hold the planks together, and not click and lock like you see on most engineered and laminate floors, and he feels that glue will not keep the joints tight-fitting because of thickness and mass of these planks. I pointed out to him that the actual Bruce installation manual recommends not to nail or staple into particle board and does recommend floating.

So, my first question is – Should I listen to this installer ignoring Bruce installation instructions and most of the negative feedback on nailing/stapling hardwood on particle board, or find another installer?
My second question – Does anyone have any experience (especially floating it) with this new line of Bruce ¾” Engineered flooring?
My third question – can you recommend other ¾” thick engineered or solid floating floors? (ie Floor & Décor have a proprietary clipping system that allows you to float their ¾” solid hardwood)

      Thanks for your time…

what is the fair labor only price for remodeling a home?

I have gotten quotes (for labor only) all over the place, ranging from 10-35K to do what I wanted. I don’t know what the fair price would be. Any suggestion?

Doing it myself is not an option because I can’t even handle a hammer properly (found out the hard way after I did the demolition of the basement bathroom)

I am remodeling a home and wanted to do the below list. The house is approximately 1950 sq. ft.

        1) remove ~1300 sq. ft of popcorn ceiling and replace with texture ceiling
        2) remove carpet and install tile ~850 sq.ft.
        3) remove carpet and install pre-finished hardwood floor ~600 sq.ft
        4) remove carpet on stair and stair rail and replace with hardwood plank stair tread and modern rail (20 steps and 4 3×3 landing areas)
        5) remove old tile in 2 bathrooms and replace with new tile and and tile bathroom floors.
        6) Install a standing shower in basement (bathroom already there, I ripped it out to stud) and tile the floor and fixing ceiling.
        7) replacing (the whole house) old & tired looking baseboard and doors, windows trim with new baseboard and trim
        8) sanded the current door jam and painted same color with new trim
        9) paint the whole house with 4 different colors

Can I install floating floor over carpet?

I have just this cheap low shag carpet in my boys room & I want to put down some wood planks. I don’t understand why I would have to remove the carpet, it’s so low & it’s not plush. Not quite as bad as commercial office carpet but pretty close to it. Can’t I simply install the fllor over it, what’s going to happen if I do?

Can you Install planks over carpet?

I’ve got some leftover planks (locking floating floor) from my kitchen. Enough to do my boys room, don’t want to pull up the carpet, it’s real low profile, no shag I guess you’d say. anyways, if I can install over the carpet then I can avoid doing an underlayment & save myself a lot of work.

Why is my bamboo flooring spacing?

We had click lock bamboo flooring put in our living room in April, and I am starting to see gaps between the planks (where the tops & bottoms connect) in certain areas. We did allow the wood to "rest" in our home for 3 days prior to having it installed. The gaps are beginning to space further apart and more are showing up. Why did this happen, and can I fix it? The look of it is driving me nuts!!

my cat is 69 days pregnant and showing no signs of going into labour~what should i do?

my cat is between 66 and 69 days pregnant (she escaped over a period of 3 days so unsure of the exact date) and showing no signs of going into labour, i know if she is 66 days then ive got a couple more days to see if she does it on her own but on the other hand if she’s 69 days then i’m worried about leaving her too long and her becoming distressed. her milk came in over a week ago, she only eats little and often and she tends to follow me around more than normal and i’ve been able to see/feel the kittens for a good few weeks but she’s not started nesting or showing any signs that labour will be soon and i’m getting quite concerned. she’s still playful but tends to sleep a lot more now & during her pregnancy she has been very affectionate as she is normally quite anti-social but over the past few days even though she starts off being nice she gets angry quite quickly. i have made a few nesting boxes around the house but she doesn’t seem interested and i have also put fresh food and water next to her usual bed but she’s not really been sleeping in that lately she would rather lie on the floor or sofa but i thought that might be because of the hot weather. the vet is only a 2 minute walk away and i have an emergency vets number saved in my phone just in case, she’s an indoor cat so never went of the house before she escaped back in april and she hasn’t been outside since so i’m not worried about her having them outside but i really don’t know what to do for the best, i dont want to stress her out unessesarerly by taking her to the vets if she will have the kittens in her own time but i don’t want to leave her too long and cause her or the kittens any harm. i’ll be really greatful for some advice, thanks.
