Brazilian Cherry Floor

WE INSTALLING CHERRY WOOD IN THE LIVEING ROOM, TWO HALLWAYS AND TWO STAIRCASES

I have a sleeper system over a moisture barriered concrete floor on a walk out basement to a lake.I had chosen a Brazilian Cherry 5 1/2 in. width boards,but I have been advised by my floor installer not to use this wood due to it being very unstable when moisture is or can be present.Can I get some feed back?

I don’t the neutral creme or beige colors. THinking of either olive green, yellow gold, or a artistic type of red. Not afraid of colors but I am not married to any of these either. any pics or links would be great. colors are hard to pick. thanks to all.

About a year ago, I got a new wood floor – the hand-scraped look – in my living room. I’ve been cleaning it all along with the spray wood floor cleaner and it’s looked very nice. Now some well-meaning person in my household cleaned it with water and Pine Sol. It now looks dull and dusky. Is there a way to bring back the shine and life to the floor?

Learn how to finish your hardwood floor in one day with Minwax Sanding Sealer and Minwax Super Fast-Drying Polyurethane. First, start by sanding your raw hardwood to leave microabrasions in the wood’s surface. To level off the surface, apply Minwax Sanding Sealer, which will take about an hour to dry. After drying, sand and vacuum up any loose dust. Next, apply Minwax Super Fast-Drying Polyurethane for Floors. Make sure to apply this with the grain using a natural bristle brush. If you are working on a large floor, use a lamb’s wool applicator. In about three to four hours, your floor will be ready for a second coat of polyurethane. This dry time is 25% faster than other products on the market and, unlike other finishes, you don’t have to sand that first topcoat. By the end of the day, you will have all coats applied and drying. In 24 hours you can allow light traffic back on the floor and in 72 hours you can place furniture on your newly finished floor.
